Weds is AFK day.

Wednesday is our day for out and about. This week started with music, which now starts with 20 minutes theory, and then has the previous session of an hour of singing, rhythms, instruments and so on.

We were running late, I’m not entirely sure why, though having to stop round the corner to work out which car door was not properly closed (Small’s obviously) didn’t help. As usual I let the kids out at the door and then drove back to the far end of the carpark and walked through, to find the kids coming back out to find me as they couldn’t find music 🙁 Turned out that they were there, just in a different room 🙂

So Big did her bit of theory and Small didn’t. Sigh. But he did eventually join in with the music so that was good.

Quick stop at Lidl for extra bits for lunch, and then on to the hall. Did some checking of distances on the way and worked out that when we used the bus last week we walked around 2 1/2 miles. Given that I was carrying a baby as well, guess that was pretty good exercise 🙂

Hall was puppets. Kids had a great time making spoon puppets – Small and I turned a toy devil into a hand puppet with judicious use of an odd glove.

We do enjoy our hall meet. It’s a good group, though we were missing a family or two this time.

Home, just about in time to turn Big around and get her back out to Brownies. And that’s our Wednesday. Hectic, and involving very little screen time.
