This commuting is overrated

but then we knew that.

Only seeing my children when I’m chivvying them into clothes in the morning, then in the rear mirror for an hour there and back, and finally at home when they are shattered and whingy. Definitely not what I had in mind.

So I’ve finally got the estate agents coming round to value the place on Friday 🙂 Moving is fashionable on the ring atm I understand 😉

Other than that, it’s been that sort of day. Started with a row with Big, traffic lights on the hill, accident on the roundabout to get on to the M1, and then a fairly normal stop start drive. Somehow recovered time to get into the office by starting time, which meant I could leave at leaving time 🙂 By which time it was seriously chucking it down – rather glad there weren’t any parking spaces this morning and I’d left the car near the door 😉

Children reluctant to leave school (must be good there then) and a bit of a chat with the principal about Small’s unexpected horrid behaviour 🙁 (that wasn’t how it sounds, we were just comparing notes, I didn’t get hauled in to talk about him!) meant we were late leaving, so by the time we got home after a small diversion for petrol, it was very late. Obviously the offspring then had to drag out the bedtime routine so it was going on for 9 before they were in bed. They’ll be tired in the morning, meaning that it will be even less fun that in was today 🙁

Ah well. Roll on finding a house and getting moved. Anyone for a quick declutter? I will be listing some several items on ebay, freecycle, amazon and the like over the coming days.

  1. I’ll come up and declutter with you. I need a girly night in somewhere else 🙂
Will phone to sort out a date 🙂

  2. Really hope the estate agents viewing is positive and you get the outcome you wish. There is quite a shuffle going on house-wise on the ring, quite exciting all these “new-starts” 😀

  3. You’re on Merry!

  4. Good luck with the valuation and sale.

  5. Maybe we need a new yahoo group for HE house-swaps? 😉

  6. Good luck with house search – will be well worth it to cut down on commute time.

  7. Well, we’ll be with you soon – more than happy to do decluttering!

  8. How lovely – to have folks help with a de-clutter – to witness community in action! Don’t know what I can offer other than virtual hugs. But – with this idea I’m currently working with – I think that is a lot!
I sincerely hope that all of your family’s needs are met in the way you anticipate/ encourage them to be!
    Best wishes,
