We’ve cuisenaire rods out on the table and pattern blocks all over the floor (watch where you tread in bare feet round here!) Big is doing number bonds up to ten without blinking (although we haven’t called them that, we’ve called them patterns and sums 😉 ) as well as a bit of multiplication here…

Started the day
with a family row. 🙁 Not our little family here – it appears my decision not to trek up the road to meet up today didn’t go down well. Oh well – I felt the decision was justified when Big went into meltdown this afternoon *despite* (or maybe because??) me not turning on the computer…

we were hoping for two! Still, very glad to hear that you made it home safely, and that all is well. Don’t blame you for that decision at all, and even Big seemed to understand. Took me ages to get started this morning – needed to tidy up and stuff and instead found another job…
Ropey start, but we recovered well.
Small is just full of cold – I hauled myself upstairs and steamed myself gently in the shower for a bit and that seemed to help. Once done with that, rolled up my sleeves, metaphorically speaking, and cracked on. Big did lunch again, while I was showering, and after it we successfully made cinnamon scented…

Both of them. 🙂 Missed Big this morning – had to get Small’s breakfast all by myself! Seriously though, did make me realise that somewhere along the way it changed from being slow waiting for her to do whatever it was she wanted to do to help, to suddenly being really useful having her doing…
