Sunday morning coming down.

Been a while since those lyrics came close to applying 😉

Quiet day. Not sure how many times soa fed during the night – I did look at the clock at 9.08 and think ooh, I’ll just have another 5 minutes as she’s dozed off again, and the next time I woke up it was 11.32 80 Consequently I’ve spent a lot of time sitting still feeding her some more, while the children have mainly occupied themselves with a variety of screen devices. Right now we’re watching the remake of Knight Rider (not the same without the hair tbh). Kids are loving it though. We tried to watch Grease but it was on a channel with poor reception, so we think we’ll just pick up a copy cheaply sometime instead. (Big asked what it was about and I said it was kind of like High School Musical. We watched the first few minutes and I thought actually, it’s not very much like it at all is it? Was life really that much grittier back then or have they just airbrushed reality out now? And which version do I feel happier with my children living in? Hm. )

Anyways, that’s pretty much our day. I get seconds of curry for tea tonight while the rest of them are having sausages. It’s all good.

  1. Aprilia didn’t “get” Grease either, then again, it occured to me that really it’s a bit “mature” for her yet anyway so maybe it wasn’t a bad thing!

  2. Mine love Grease, less keen on HSM. Working title for HSM was Grease 3, but definitely a different message. HSM is more about being true to yourself I think whereas Grease is about changing yourself to be popular.

  3. We’ve not seen HSM, C found Grease scary.

  4. Hm, it wasn’t the message I was thinking of so much as the small details. High school kids smoking, concerns about pregnancies all that kind of stuff in Grease, versus who sings with who and whether singing is a good thing in HSM (which I haven’t watched closely, so may be missing the point of).

  5. There’s a re-make of knight-rider? how odd. i know what you mean about the difference between Grease and high school the musical. Grease was all smoking, sneaking out and getting pregnant wasn’t it…and as for the clothes, and the dancing…much more fun than high school the musical though in my opinion.
