only 30 minutes

in the roadworks this morning, although the bit where I nearly got run off the road by some guy who seemed to think that his indicator was actually some kind of magic sign which forced ppl out of his way was a touch irritating. Either that or because he had a big posh car he had right of way. Neither me nor the guy in front of me agreed, so he didn’t get to shove either of us out of the way. There’s a part of me wishes I’d just let him hit me – it would have been completely his fault, and it’s about time my car got retired. But I had the kids in the car, so not really an option.

Got them to school pretty much bang on 9am, and they’d actually eaten – the chocolate breads have a new fastener on them, but this time Big asked for help. 🙄 Rushed off to work and had a reasonably successful day, particularly enjoying the email from a senior colleague that basically said “Jax is right” 😀 Only a couple minutes late to do the pickup, and found Small going through pink materials with A. Apparently he doesn’t like the sandpaper letters, or at least, he doesn’t appear to be making any further progress with them. Plus if you hold out a letter to him he can’t tell you what it is but if you ask him to write it he can. Which is not usually the way things work I’m told. So we’re exploring a number of different ways forward with him, and was intrigued tonight to find free marvel comics online (I’d link to it but can’t get the site to load to give me the right page). Think he’ll like that.

Big had me order her some snazaroo stuff online and has learnt how to send emails with links in (christmas list being a highly motivating factor there). Got to be some useful life skills in there 😉

And Tim’s going to fry me some lovely fatty food and then I might go to bed as scrabulous is dead again. Goodo.

Must be related to a guy driving a yellow panel van on the A1 in heavy traffic. Unfortunately a car two vehicles in front did let him in.

  2. You mean if you have a big posh car you *don’t* have right of way? damn, that’s the only reason I keep ours!
Scrabulous started two games for the price of one for me last night, I’m playing duplicates with everyone I started one with!!
