start the week

the way you hope it doesn’t go on. Today started with a 45 minute traffic jam to get to the next junction on the motorway. Despite that we didn’t rate a mention in the hourly traffic report, I feel for the ppl on the M25 who apparently have it worse that that everyday. Once I got through the jam the rest of the journey was quite straightforward, apart from the traffic cop pulling a van off in front of me, causing the van to slow down abruptly and nearly having the guy behind me ram me as I tried to avoid the mess. Just to prove it wasn’t just me that was confused, the guy in front of the traffic cop pulled off onto the hard shoulder as well, and then pulled away in a hurry when the cop kept on waving over at someone else.

Joy.

Shouldn’t be that much of a surprise to discover today was little different from last week, except now my boss is sending the emails. Spent a pleasant hour discussing the finer points of management with a fellow irritated developer, doubt anything will come of it though. Then discovered that an issue I’d referred back to dev has landed back on my desk to be fixed by tomorrow. That’ll be why I’ve only just got home then.

Is it the weekend yet?
