More Suffolk show, with added mp.

Despite Small’s reluctance we headed out to the second day of the Suffolk show today. It was another glorious day, slightly warmer than yesterday even.

As the baby’s sunhat mysteriously went missing yesterday during her change (Big went back and checked, nowhere to be seen apparently) she was wearing a muslin bandana for her day in the wrap, and that worked pretty well. She certainly didn’t overheat like a couple of unhappy babies we spotted in buggies through the day 🙁 And I have to hope that nearly 4 hours of carrying her will be good for my weight loss ambitions!

Second round of drinks in the VP area, and we were keeping an eye out for Therese Coffey, our new MP. Spotted her at the bar and then moving on to the paella, and thought it would be rude, considering I’ve practically been stalking her online, to not say hello. So we did 🙂 Turned out we could be helpful as she was out of battery on her phone so I lent her mine to text with 😀 And I think she did manage to meet up with her friend afterwards.

The Suffolk show is huge. Despite this, we did manage to bump into Em and family in the food court. Apparently soa was following the trend set by O last year, same wrap, same headgear 😆

Foodcourt food was better than VP tent food, and cheaper too. I had a fab feta and spinach pasty, and Tim liked his cornish pasty so much he went back to find out if it’s possible to buy them locally. Think the kids enjoyed their icecream too, though I was off nappy changing at that point. And recovering the sunhat abandoned yesterday in the baby change area, which had been neatly folded up and put safely on a shelf. It may well be worth paying for VP tickets just for that kind of atmosphere.

We had to have a second trip to the Easton Farm Park area, as Big wanted to see the chicks and ducklings again. Seems like they are really her thing. Small sat himself down in the empty seats outside the Magic Marquee – think he was planning on waiting for the show, but we distracted him away (mean parents). And then we meandered our way around (part of) the (enormous!) showground and eventually to the car and home.

A good afternoon – a good couple of days in fact. Now if I could only work out what I’ve done to my camera and reset it to take proper size pictures all would be well with the world.
