Home again.

Monday was coming home day – we pootered around slowly taking down tent while letting the children get every last minutes worth of friend time. As did I for that matter. We helped tidy up the last bits of food, and finally got away early afternoon, determined not to have a major stop on the way, but somehow still mislaying the best part of an hour at a services where I realised part of the delay is the length of time it takes Small to eat anything – about a minute per carrot stick for example. Is there a headdesk emoticon? I think there probably should be.

I remember nothing much of that day, apart from that the children were Not Tired when we got home, which was predictable but still wearing. Ah well. It was quick food, clean and into bed. Given that that was pretty much the only fallout all weekend, I thought it was a worthwhile price to pay!
