Would someone explain to me how being self-employed, so I no longer have to commute to an office 4 days a week at peak time, means my car insurance premiums go up???

Rip off Britain comes home to roost. 🙁

  1. No other changes…..insurance inflation seems to run much higher than normal inflation…..been involved in any accidents irrespective of fault???

  2. I change my insurers most years, as I’ve got business miles as well. I cheapeast quote was £40 less this year (about three weeks ago), than staying with my old insurer.

  3. Existing insurer well over £40 cheaper than alternatives I’ve found so far, and the quote that I had had was considerably cheaper than last year (I must be getting old 😉 ) but the premium hike on telling them I was self employed was 10% I reiterate “grrrr”

  4. Grrr indeed. I wonder why self-employed ppl are deemed more dangerous?

  5. prob all the ‘white van drivers’ in their midst!
