the weather

isn’t playing.

Despite a forecast for dry and warmish, it’s wet and coldish. I’d wrap them up and chuck them out anyway, but Small is hacking away like a good ‘un, so it doesn’t seem like a good plan.

Big came to find me as I was getting up this morning, just to ask if she could have some toy she’d seen an advert for. When the answer was no, she stamped off in a huff, so that was a good start. I’ve suggested the stuff I planned last night, and she isn’t in the slightest bit interested, so she’s sulking in her bedroom.

Oh, and the agency that’s been pestering me (sorry checking regularly on my progress towards certification) rang to say that the company has filled the java role they were hoping I could re-interview for. Bugger.

It never rains but it pours, in the mad mad happy happy world that is this part of the blogring.

  4. Oh poo. Was hoping for some cheery news on how today was panning out with last night’s plan. Things are fraught here. Have just sent E to calm down in the car – there’s a really nasty striek starting to emerge and I desperately want to nip it ine the bud, but I just don’t know how. I hate that helpless feeling. Hope your day improves.
