Giveaway: The Lost Hero (Heroes of Olympus 1) – 4 copies

You may have seen I have a giveaway for Blood of Olympus running already. (If not, do pop over and check out the trailer!) Due to a *slight* mixup, I’m pleased to bring you a giveaway for 4 copies of the first book in the Heroes of Olympus series, The Lost Hero.

OLD ENEMIES AWAKEN AS CAMP HALF-BLOOD’S NEW ARRIVALS PREPARE FOR WAR

When Jason, Piper and Leo crash land at Camp Half-Blood, they have no idea what to expect. Apparently this is the only safe place for children of the Greek Gods – despite the monsters roaming the woods and demigods practising archery with flaming arrows and explosives. But rumours of a terrible curse – and a missing hero – are flying around camp. It seems Jason, Piper and Leo are the chosen ones to embark on a terrifying new quest, which they must complete by the winter solstice. In just four days time. Can the trio succeed on this deadly mission – and what must they sacrifice in order to survive?

The Lost Hero (Heroes of Olympus Book 1)

As I said yesterday, I haven’t actually read any of the Percy Jackson books. So when these arrived today, I picked one up to see what I’ve been missing. From what I can tell, it’s a fast paced action yarn, loosely based around Roman and Greek legends. I’m up for that. I devoured the first chapter extremely rapidly, and I’m hooked! If you’d like to get hooked too, this would seem like the best place to start 😉

This is a rafflecopter giveaway, if there’s no widget visible, refresh the page. And if you’ve never commented before, your comment will be held in moderation (part of my anti spam measures!) but don’t worry, I go and fish them out before I choose winners. I do check that entry methods have been completed when I choose winners, so please don’t cheat – check the terms and conditions.

  1. Who’s your hero? This is actually an really hard question because it makes you think a lot about what defines a hero. I’d like to think that my heroes would have to be the authors of the books I love however cheesy that maybe be. But there is no way I can just pick one!

your question made me think so hard my eyeballs were about to pop someone i consider a hero is my mom because she made the foundation of what i am now and what im going to be in the future. she is my hero because even though she’s already dead (cancer very cliche)’ her way of taking care of me when i was a child helps me mould my choices and decisions in life.

  3. Personally, my hero would have to be my mom. She is very supportive of my reading hobby and goshdarnit, she was the one who raised me! I wouldn’t be what I am today (a better guy than I thought I would be, if I do say so myself) if it weren’t for her. 🙂

  4. My family are my heros together we get by all that life has in store for us and its good to see us all sticking together

    Jesus is my hero.
Stoat from that my son who fought for life fir 5 days.

  11. My heros are my parents

  12. It probably goes against the grain to say it but my husband is my hero.

  13. I’m not sure I really have a hero, although there are certainly people I admire for particular things in particular fields. The problem with a hero is that it’s tempting to put them on a pedestal and then feel let down when they fall off…
