Giveaway – Percy Jackson: The Blood of Olympus (Heroes of Olympus Book 5)

Though the Greek and Roman crew members of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen – all of them – and they’re stronger than ever.

The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea’s army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over . . .

Now, I’m going to admit that I’ve never read any of the Percy Jackson books. But the kids have, and so have lots of their friends. So I know that they’re very popular books. So I’m really happy to be hosting a giveaway for Percy Jackson: The Blood of Olympus (heroes of Olympus 5).

  7. What’s your favourite myth or legend? Mine would have to be the story of Psyche and Eros, I found it really lovely. I admire the way each fought for the other and the fact that it ends happily with Psyche being granted immortality and being joined in an eternal marriage to Eros 🙂

my favorite is the legend of arachne. why? because the myth states that arachne wasn’t cursed because athena doesn’t want anybody better than her but because arachne just went below the belt about how she feels about herself

    The Snow Queen 🙂

  10. My favorite myth story would have to be Pygmalion and Galatea’s. We actually had to to do a play in high school of the story, and being the scriptwriter, I fell in love with the story. It shows (even though metaphorically) that love knows no boundaries. I may sound cheesy lol but seriously, I loved the story. It was one of the few Greek love stories with a happy ending as well. Others always ended with a tragedy. 🙂
