Get Some Good Stuff Free

Well, for the price of a magazine, anyway.

This month’s PCPlus, which incidentally is a load of tosh, so I will be recommending that the management cancels it, has a cover DVD with some excellent collectable software. These are FREE, licensed copies of:

XAT Image Optimizer very useful if you are finding that waiting for the images on your blog to download is less fun than watching paint dry, or are fed up with the huge bandwidth bills from your web host. XAT has a nifty jpg batch processor. Also on the disc is Paragon Drive Backup 2004 which, as it happens, I used in 2004 to backup and restore a hard drive. Worked superbly and intuitively.

Of course, some of you may think that you could save the cost of the mag by emailing someone who has it already and will burn it onto a CD for you. You might think that, but I couldn’t possibly comment. 🙂
