small-art.jpg

a couple of months ago, or maybe longer, Small handed me a picture that he’d done at school. It completely blew me away, and I made a mental note to scan it to save it, as well as putting it safely away in his to keep folder (there’s no way I can keep everything he produces, he’s quite the artist 🙂 ) Of course, it immediately disappeared into a pile of unopened post, and thence to a box. Does everyone else ignore their post when it arrives, or is it just us?

Anyway, looking for something else completely this morning, I found Small’s picture. I’ve scanned it, and I’ll email it to Tim, and perhaps he’ll be able to get it into a state to put on blog (Done – T). And I can put it safely away in the to keep folder too 🙂

Big has done some pictures we want to share as well, and I still have my painting that I promised I would blog. I’m a bit worried about scanning that though – it had salt on it to make some of the effects, and I’m not sure that would be particularly good for the scanner. Perhaps I’d better wait for Tim’s latest accidental acquisition to arrive 😉

In case you are wondering why I’m blogging on a Monday morning, it’s an offset monday. This afternoon I’m going to take the children round to Kirsty’s and abandon them there, then Tim will pick them up from there when he’s done. Big is making a picture for A just now, and they are very much looking forward to their afternoon.

  1. Many of Chloe’s pictures are A3 size and so won’t fit in the scanner – we just photograph them and upload them that way.
We have stacks of papers around and every now and then I get fed up and bag them to tidy them away. So then we have carrier bags full of papers as well.

  2. Yes, we find that taking digital photographs of art works just as well as scanning (and is much quicker too!)
    How’s your friend’s friend?

  3. Haven’t had an update yet Clare, beyond she’s now talked to someone and is more hopeful, should find out more this week. Thanks for asking.

  4. We just take photos of art too. Scanning was a fiddle and a photo is usually ok.
