decluttering continues apace

if apace can be thought of as limping and rather slow.

I’ve found the side in the dining room. This means I’ve generated another bag of rubbish to adorn our fortnightly collected bin. I’ve also thrown out about 100 balloons, as they were in a box that appeared to have been very attractive to mice at some point (I hate mice. Have I mentioned that?) and I really didn’t fancy putting them anywhere near my mouth. There was a bag of brightly coloured feathers that went as well. Shame, but nope, not letting the children do artwork with something that smells that bad.

I’ve liberated a pair of rain dungarees, that may turn out to be the same size as Big’s current pair (at school today, so I can’t check now) and if they do, they’ll be up for grabs. (Don’t worry, they are brand new, and in a plastic bag. They haven’t been moused.) Very useful for camping to anyone wondering why we possess such things. Also found a spare (also BNIB) sunsuit that I bought last year, that will fit Small this year, result!

Oh, and I found lots of silly postcards. I never get nice post, and I’m betting I’m not the only one out there. If anyone would like a postcard, please leave a comment, and I’ll mail you back to get your address (no, you don’t have to put your address on the open blog), then snailmail you a postcard. First come first served, there’s about 10 I think. (Now there’s an incentive to delurk if ever there was one )

Children had a lovely time at the party, apart from the party games. Why do ppl do party games at parties for terribly young children? The birthday girl was 3, and many of the guests were around that age, so pass the parcel with forfeits was asking a bit much. Although it was actually Big that dissolved in a heap when her forfeit was to pat her head and rub her tummy at the same time. (Really wish I had my rolls eyes emoticon at this point). Small was oblivious to the game, he didn’t want to join in, so he didn’t join in. He spent quite a long time in the hallway playing with a very large 3.

And that’s been my day. I managed to list a whole twothree! books on Ebay (only about another 600 to go then 🙁 ) and hopefully I’ve just created a link to them that I’ll stick in my sidebar.
