Ever needed Emergency Happiness

This is my #emergencyhappiness box sent by Viking (Viking_chat on twitter) thanks to Marylin from SoftThistle Life 🙂

I was having a rough week before our #reenactment break, and a friend nominated me for an emergency happiness box. It arrived while I was away, and then I popped it in a bag as we set off for Wales.

After driving for 6 hours on the Friday afternoon, and then getting very little sleep with unhappy children during the night, a pick me up was definitely called for. And look, there’s even a black jack sweet, I grew up on those 😉

It’s such a simple idea, isn’t it, a little package of goodies to make someone smile. I’m kind of thinking I’d like to pass it on, but I’m not quite sure how to. Maybe if you know someone who needs a little happiness you can leave me a comment, or drop me a tweet?

And let me know what sort of things you’d put in a package. I have a few ideas, but it’s always good to share.

  1. Such a lovely idea and thing to do. In 2013 I didn a year in gifts where I chose someone every month either a friend, pen pal, blogger or family member and put together a package to send off. It was a lovely project and worked out really well I’m pleased I did it. I always popped in little things that I thought the person would like, something with a good quote on if they were struggling, a nice handwritten letter and often a bar of chocolate! I have a friend she’s called kat (@katpearce) if you were looking to pass on a happiness box I know she’d appreciate it as she’s having a crappy year x

    1. Hi Hannah, what a lovely idea! I think spreading happiness is something we could all do with focussing a bit more on. Thanks for commenting.

  2. What a brilliant idea – I think it requires a whole blog post.
