You can have berries. Or you can have moon. Not both

I stood on the pavement outside our house, and aimed my camera at the tree opposite, which has the most wonderful berries and leaves, and was being lit by the setting sun.

And then I saw the moon.

And I spent the next ten minutes trying to get shots of the moon with the tree. Any tree. And it turns out either you can’t do that, or at the very least I can’t do that. You can have one in focus or the other, but not both.

Sounds like a metaphor for something or other, but I’m tired and I’m not really sure what.

So, do you like berries?

Or the moon?

(I went with berries for  instagram. The slightly blurry leaves hurt my head, although the light is quite extraordinary, and the moon was beautiful. (Yes, I know it’s a different tree. I got desperate.)  )

Apologies to the bulldog who was scared of me. And the woman dragging him past me in a very embarrassed way. I’m not that scary really.

So come on folks telll me, which would you choose?
