I read The Friday Night Knitting Club
and really enjoyed it, even though it made me cry. Quite a lot. I am a big softy.
I also finally finished reading And the Skylark Sings with Me: Adventures in Homeschooling and Community-based Education
which I found very interesting and enjoyable, if almost implausible in parts. Or perhaps it’s just the utter dedication of these parents that scares me – I’m not convinced I could ever be a tenth part as responsive, understanding and resourceful as this pair were. Interested to see that he has written other books
, has anyone read any of those? None in our library area sadly, or within reach of my still unspent £11 🙁
In other news, the children have signed up to Nanowrimo, in that I’ve incorporated it into our school day 😀 It is going down incredibly well with Small, who has written two chapters of his epic so far, and has a listing of what each chapter is going to include.
