Also, I am wetting myself with excitement at the prospect of having to have an ID card. Like Jacqui Smith says “I regularly have people coming up to me and saying they don’t want to wait that long.” Well, that’s me, I just can’t wait.
Heck, of course I’m happy, interest rates just went down so that is going to lop a third off the cost of our mortgage. Isn’t it? :rofl:

interestingly, I’ve just scoured our bank’s website and can find no reference to the mortgage product we signed up for, which appears to have been eradicated, and nothing about their long standing pledge to be within 1% of base rate, which also appears to have been eradicated. I wonder what product we are on? I do recall a letter a while back…
Most of the trackers have been pulled after today’s announcements. I know this because we were just about to sign for one of them!
