Win the new Jane Green novel, Saving Grace

Recently, I was lucky enough to read and review the new Jane Green novel, Saving Grace. It’s rather meatier than your usual chick lit, although still retailing as women’s fiction – I personally think the cover (although very striking) is a bit misleading, but then again, reading mainly eArcs on kindle, I guess I’m not that up on cover art 😉 (Plus there’s that whole painfully non visual thing.)

Marketed as being about a marriage on the edge, it’s definitely not a romance, leaning more towards the psychological drama side. Very well put together, with strong characterisation, I’ll be looking out for other titles. (Although there’s a thrill in coming across a wonderful debut novel, there’s also a definite excitement in the first time you encounter an author with a strong back catalogue, knowing that there’s lot more there to plunder.)

There’s some fun stuff going on on the PanMacmillan website around the launch, and I’ve got a giveaway for 3 hardback copies, using the Gleam widget below.

Competition is open to adults 18 and over with UK addresses, and the rest of the terms and conditions are in the widget. First time commenters are pre moderated so don’t panic if it doesn’t show up immediately, and if you’ve any other problems with it, drop me a note through the contact form or catch me on twitter.

No I have not read any Jane Green books before but I would love to xxx

  5. Oh I shall look out for this, have read other books by her, though titles escape me currently, and str I enjoyed them. I read Gone Girl yesterday and very much enjoyed that, although I didn’t think it was quite such a plot twist fest as it’s billed as I saw all but one of them coming, but maybe that’s more to do with my mind than the writing 😉

i have been a fan of Jane Green’s novels since I first read Jemima J and identified with her character. I travel everywhere with kindle and ipad, however Jane Green novels are best held in the hand. I love the covers too and think i have a full set. I think Jane’s writing style has matured and isnt as fluffy chick-lit as it used to be and from what i have read Saving Grace is an example of this. At the moment i am re-reading Beach House and have downloaded it onto my kindle also…… in case i leave the book at home…… i would love to win a copy of Saving Grace

  22. I have not read any yet!

  23. Wonderful competition x Looks an enthralling read x

  24. I read Jemima J when it came out and I, too, was a single girl. Jane’s writing is very easy to down in big gulps. She pulls off the trick of making it all look deceptively easy – when we know that writing that is easy to read is anything but.
