when you know you're doing something right

For the last several nights, the children have been awake and bouncing well past 10 o’clock in the evening. Tonight I went up at 8.30 to turn off the story tape and lights, having pre warned them that they need to get a good night’s sleep – it’s first day back at school tomorrow.

I anticipated wails and anguish. What I got was two children who leapt into bed, laid down quietly, were happy to turn off the noise and the light, because they don’t want to be told they are too tired for school.

Guess this school is a good thing then 🙂

Long day in the office today, and I’ve more to plan for tomorrow, plus I want to do some more crochet (got the yoke of that dress done last night, fits beautifully 🙂 ) and watch Numb3rs.
