Well, nice to see the blog won't be neglected in my absence 😉

Although I’ve got so much to do before I go, I ought to be neglecting it myself!

So tired though….very very tempted to just go to bed now. But I’ve done next to nothing today, so I really ought to get a few bits polished off first.

Major thing I did achieve, is getting the tent up and checked over. Phew, it’s fine. I couldn’t remember whether I’d sorted it out before putting it away last year, but guess I must have done as it was absolutely fine. Only one strap where the stitching had come undone, so restitched that, although I didn’t get around to straightening the extremely bent tent pegs. Didn’t find the extra strong replacements we bought last year either, which is a bit annoying….I’m sure we did buy them and not just discuss it. I think.

Anyway, lovely day spent mainly in the garden, but didn’t realise how sunny it was! Small was OK, nice long sleeved shirt and trousers, but Big, running around in a variety of dressing up outfits, has managed to catch the sun on her shoulders 🙁 Bad mummy. We had Kris and Sarah round to watch me prove that I can put the tent up and down by myself 😉 and amuse the children – they brought lunch as well, so they can come again 🙂 Oh, and I think Small spoke – he said “choglet” when I offered him a chocolate icecream. Not that he actually ate it, nor would he repeat the statement. Asked him whether he’d like to go away for a week in the tent – he looked at me very seriously and said “no”. Oh dear!

So tomorrow, I need to run around frantically and sort everything out. Maybe an early night would be a good idea…

  1. Was a very pleasant day – thanks!

  2. Well, the rain looks like it’s pushed back till Saturday (for now!) – http://www.metcheck.com/48hrforecast.asp?lat=&lon=&locationID=4&pc= – so that’s *one* bit of good news!

  3. It was a great day – noticed T had really caught the sun on her arms too. Ooh – and seeing as how the rain has moved back, that means you don’t have to fly down to Exeter tonight, so you can come to the theatre after all! 🙂 lol

  4. Aww come on Jax – the ticket’s still yours if you manage to get your packing done. 😉

  5. Hope you have that packing done by now 😉 You deserve that theatre trip, hope you manage to go!
(me, of course, I’m procrastinating. did I ever mention how much I hate packing?!)
