was that the weekend?

Where did it go?

Not quite over yet, got a scanner to install so that I can get some paperwork done, couple of businessy emails to send. Going to have to find the bed before we can sleep in it, but we’re on the downhill slope now.

It’s been good overall. Have concentrated on spending time with children, even when this has meant dragging them round the supermarket with me. Have to say they’ve generally been pretty good.

Small slept in with me last night – seems to need to recharge his batteries by doing that every now and then. I was tired anyway and went up at 9.30, so once he fell asleep, chucked him into the cot and then had a halfway reasonable night until Big woke him up enough this morning that he wanted to lie on top of me again. Ah well, it’s nice to be needed 😉

Today we had to shoe shop. Not hugely successful, as the only shoes in Big’s size were ones that she’d had twice before, and unsurprisingly didn’t want again. So I caved and bought her boots, which she is thrilled with, and I’m resigned to, and then we all popped in on Kirsty. That was rather lovely, and I got to have a good old moan at my complete lack of life, rant about the lesser pleasures of working, and generally feel like me again for a bit.

Brought tired children home and had an evening.

I really ought to be in bed by now.

Eta – nearly forgot, welcome aboard two new blogring members (go previous from here) and also welcome Kirsty to new blogring admin status. Thanks for offering the helping hand!

  1. What is it with kids boots at the moment? i must be a complete old cow (i sound like my mother used to) but no way are my 7 and 5 year olds going to wear knee high boots with 2 inch heels! Although actually, neither of them has asked to either… thank goodness.

  2. These ones are flat, but I do know what you mean 😉
