I think Tigerboy likes his granddad. Smallest enjoyed spending a day with her grandma. Small attempted to demonstrate why sonic on the wii is fabulous and the rest of us tried to explain Kentwell.

We didn’t succeed. Acceptances are out, we will be spending part of our summer in a field and a barn being Tudors again. Different roles this year, but that won’t be an issue I don’t think.

It was good to see family. I love where we live, but I wish there weren’t so many miles between here and the middle of the country.

  1. Lovely photo. Hooray, we’re going to Kentwell again! I was going to say, try living a whole continent away from family but it doesn’t really matter the distance. If it’s more than a couple of hours’ drive it’s hard.

I think if a journey is over an hour it becomes pretty much too hard to do regularly, particularly with children.
And yes, we’re off to Kentwell again. How could we not? Big is going to be blogging some aspects of costuming and so on as well, you might want to check out her blog
