things to get done this week.

Find local doctor (located one who is accepting patients, but need to go down and pick up registration forms before I can arrange appt for very overdue pre-school boosters for Small. Must do that this afternoon.)

Find local vet. (would also be good if I could find vaccination card for cat, although have bad feeling it’s overdue so they will probably charge us as if starting from scratch 🙁 )

Find local NHS dentist. (Cue hollow laughter.)

Feed rabbits (repeat daily.)

Water plants Not needed today, rain finally arrived. Need to check daily to see whether needed later in week.

Get petrol (first time this month 😉 )

Arrange boiler servicing for other house.

Go and join scrapstore. Allow children to select trolley full of scrap for £6.50.

Washing. Hm, could be difficult to dry today. Wish we had place for rotary airer so that we could have smart airer cover that Joanna linked to. There’s no hole in the yard though, so don’t think it’s going to be very possible.

Do assignment 1 of Montessori training. No wimping out this time – was pathetic the other night and got about three paragraphs done before collapsing in little heap of inertia worrying about what level of essay they are looking for.

Bake bread. (Now that I have scales 🙂 )

Dye hair. (Have recovered henna, bowl and gloves from other house 🙂 )

Make appt to see someone at OU centre about transferring credit.

Hairdressers – though persuading Small could be difficult. He can’t see the point in getting it cut “because it will only grow again”. While he is correct he’s beginning to look rather more abandoned and unloved than Prince Charming as he also refuses to brush it – “I’m not a girl!”

Sort the stuff we’ve brought from the other house. Go back to the other house and sort out more stuff. This may require a van as there is still a little furniture left there. Not sure when we’re going to fit that in – poss Friday?

So much for a holiday!

  1. our dentist still accepts NHS patients I think. It’s North Sheffield so although still far away at least is on the right side. Let me know if you want the details.

  2. Does Small have his nails trimmed? You could compare hair trimming and nail trimming, although that runs the risk of him giving up on short nails. Good luck on the sorting – we have soooo much of that still to do.

  3. can’t trim his nails, there is never enough there to trim, he eats them. (Toe nails too, or is that TMI?)
