Taking baby steps.

Today we went outside. In fact, we all (except dp who now doesn’t fit into the car with the rest of us!) went to the leisure centre for Big’s swimming. I was quite impressed that we got her there on time. Time keeping isn’t my best skill when I’m together, and I’m really not quite together yet. But we did it, and we were there, and I managed entertainment and snacks for the toddler and of course I’ve got the built in snack bar for toddler boy, so we also did our first public breastfeed. Tbh that doesn’t hold any fears for me. Over the years I’ve become extremely blase – I was quite pleased that I remembered to put on something that I can breastfeed reasonably discretely in 😉

Tigerboy (do we like that as an online name?) seemed to like outdoors. He wasn’t overly impressed with the carseat or the car, but he coped OK with the leisure centre once I got him out and fed him. He likes being held. Although he’s also quite good at sleeping in his chair during the day.

All in all, he’s a pretty chilled baby, which is good. I’m managing to do little bits here and there with the others, although I desperately need for all of us to get back into our educational routine as soon as possible, and then maybe the housework and the blogging and everything else will fall gradually into place as well…

Hey, I can live in hope can’t I? Or in delusion more likely 😉

You can find me over on the Babyhuddle blog talking about babywearing today though, and hopefully in a few more places soon too. Got to keep my name out there, and keep building a profile if I’m going to make this “work from home around children writing thing” work out.

Oh, and with that the toddler woke the baby up. And the 8 yo flushed cardboard down the toilet. Deep joy. Tell me other ppl’s lives are like this?

  1. Well I only have one but when unsupervised the other day he thought it was a good wheeze to stuff loads of toilet paper down the bathroom sink plug hole. Now he thinks the sink plunger is a new toy!
