out of Merry’s book, been targetting my efforts this morning!

Gotta love those red nose readers – Big is sitting on the floor right now reading one, and Small is on the couch looking at another. They are excellent!

OK, quick round up of the day so far. Despite feeling like death only slightly warmed over (bad night with Small who contrived to fall out of bed and was restless ever after) and I’m having a painful period, I’ve got two loads of washing out on the line, we’ve had a game of draughts (first one), finished some of Big’s sewing and I’ve done all the washing up. Hm, it doesn’t sound nearly as good listed like that.

The positive aspect is though that I’ve said yes to the children a number of times, I’m aware that my standard reaction is to say no, and I’m not particularly happy with that. I feel that I’m being very negative in my life at the moment, and I want to change that, and trying to do what the children want to feels like a relatively easy way of doing that. Hence the sewing, the draughts, and after I’ve had a couple of hours to work, I want to fit in some science, and get started on the Barbie plaster mould things that Big has been after doing since Christmas.

I’ve tried to say yes to Small as well, but he keeps changing his mind! He did have some time on the puter this morning – hadn’t realised that he can use the mouse *that* well! He was playing Dragon Tales, clicking on the item, dragging it across the screen and dropping it in the right place. Big helped him for a bit as well, so that was pretty good. That took up some more time. He wanted to do some sewing with Big’s machine, but once she’d finished and I got some material for him he lost interest. Which was easier than doing it with him tbh 😉 He has done some colouring as well, which was by request, so I have been doing stuff with him. Must find some time to play sound games with him though, not that he joins in 🙁

Right, lunch, then work. See you later.

  1. nya nya nya – I’ve got three loads of laundry out so far, and a fourth going through the wash now. You are *such* an amateur ;~)
Not competing on anyything else though, since I’ve spent the rest of the day either emailing or sitting on the patio reading Harry Potter LOL. Completely leaving my kids to get on with…whatever they want to do really…I am such a negligent mother. Just as well they’ve got an extra nine neighbourhood kids (yes, nine) in the garden to keep them busy really. What was that about “lack of socialisation” again?
