Sunny day with added playdough.

Once again the main focus to the day as far as the children were concerned was playdough. They played a long (approx 2 1/2 hour) game which involved them making things and selling them in their imaginary shop. Eventually they got bored of this, and came to tell me what a wonderful day they had had, what with taking it in turns on the computer in the morning, and then playing, and then having lunch, and then playing some more. They rounded off the afternoon by running around garden like lunatics, and then had another turn on the computer each.

This last bit was slightly spoiled by a completely unnecessary falling out in which Big pinched Small (right in front of me) and then denied she’d done it, and when presented with the evidence (red mark on his arm) said it was all his fault for being mean and horrid. Actually, she didn’t say this last bit, she screamed it, so communication rather broke down for a while. Made it far more difficult to concentrate on my TMA as well.

Am struggling with my TMA. So far I’ve managed 2 questions out of 6, counting up to 20 marks out of 100. I was very late in starting it because of being late finishing the one for the other course, but the need to sleep the clock round every night isn’t helping.

Hohum. Will have to have a think about this, and check out the regulations as to what mark I need or whether I can somehow substitute this one or some such.

And now it’s time for bed. Except I nearly forgot something, the fact that my sister called me, and asked about home education and whether anyone comes and inspects us to check we’re doing it right. We were on the phone for over 11 minutes, probably the longest call we’ve had in years. I’ve no idea whether I managed to explain it all OK, but we talked.
