stressed out and in pain

I’ve got stomach ache, and it’s from trying to keep calm while dealing with 4 year old tantrums. The 4 year old in question is very good at being very horrid, and I have been working very hard at ignoring the attention seeking, being loving and cuddly when she wants to be loving and cuddly (therefore rewarding the friendly behaviour) and being firm, but non judgemental, iyswim, with the unacceptable behaviour. We got through this morning’s home ed group (no activity going on, or perhaps it went on before I got there) without any meltdowns, quite an achievement in itself, and then came home and I got the paddling pool out.

(Should have mentioned that finished yesterday with a trip to buy paddling pool and staging for the greenhouse, completely forgot about even looking at the staging while dealing with two hot and bothered offspring in the shop and came back with a ballpool, ride on garden toy for Small, and space hopper for dd).

Was going to post further details, but it’s too depressing, so I just say that I’ve got stressy stomach ache, the four year old is nearly ready for bed, the 1 year old just did disgusting things in the bath (again! I thought they weren’t supposed to do that? That’s two days running, and the third time overall) and I’ve got a garden full of semi-inflated inflatables that I’m going to have to go and cuddle to get to go down.

But at least I’ve finally finished the felt shoes. They are too small for him of course, but hey, they’re finished.
