so what did we achieve today?

This morning we hama’ed. Did the ‘ingerla-and’ flag, and one of dd’s own design. So mark that down for creativity 😉 It took ages though! And huge amounts of assistance for her to follow the pattern. Meant that we didn’t make it out to the shops, but hey, at least we saved money…

After lunch, a big first for dd – she spelled out a word for herself. Allowed me to discover that she can do it when she wants although we do have some confusion over ‘p’, ‘d’, and ‘b’ it would appear. Oh and the word was ‘respect’ in case you were wondering.

Then Sarah and Roo and co came over this aft, and the elder offspring were uniformly horrid to each other. Eventually I got some gardening stuff out and planted broccoli and more radishes with them, and planted out a couple of our sunflowers. So for all I still felt quite rough, we got quite a bit done today I think.

After dd had gone off to bed I went out in the garden and did some more digging – wanted to plant out my sweetcorn. Not sure whether it is going to survive the transplantation though, it was seriously pot bound, and despite efforts to be gentle, the roots were so entangled with each other that I must have done loads of damage trying to ease them apart. I also dug out a headlamp of some description while I was preparing the bed – dp said I should have put it with the oil filters he’s excavated. 🙁

  1. If it’s any consolation (not to me, but there we are!!!) Anna is *still* having b/d problems. p/q are okay usually because q has a little tail …

  2. hmmm…. i’m told its very common up until at least 7 :~)
Glad you had a better day.
