So, can I claim I'm running on home ed time? 😉

The carnival is late. Very late. So late that I almost wimped out and just didn’t post it at all, but I decided that was too pathetic for words. Sorry. I could entertain you with a long list of excuses, but I think I’ll just get on with it!

Great post from Christina, explaining how there might not be regular school in her son’s life, but there is magic school.

T-bird apologised for the weather, but treated us to a rundown of their first day not back as well.

And Ailbhe shared a glimpse of her life with three children and a not back to school picnic on the horizon.

We had a not back to school picnic on the beach. The weather was mainly kind, with only one shower heavy enough to persuade me to hide, and not so cold that all the children stayed out of the water. Really good attendance this year, with 8 families making it, children ranging in age from under a year to late teens. Fab to see them all just mixing in with each other, or not, as they preferred 🙂

There were bubbles blown and food eaten, sand in shoes, and windswept hair. And it was good.

Yes, Big is wearing her not back to school outfit from Clothing at Tesco. She wears it a lot! I may have to buy her a second set of it all 😉

I’m adding a linky to this post so that if there’s anyone out there with posts suitable for this ridiculously belated carnival they can add them if they’d like 🙂 If you’d rather I added them in to the text above, just leave me a comment with the link and I’ll get a round tuit at some point.
