Big has just stropped off to her room, slamming all possible doors, screaming “but I want to read!”
This would be because I attempted a new strategy with the reading lesson, called quit while you are ahead, in which as soon as she started messing about and not trying, I said “well done, lovely, we’ll do some more later” and put the book away.
Ever get the feeling you just can’t win?

However, she went to her room, came back breathing deeply, demanded the book again, and read it cover to cover. She’s now reading it to Small on the floor 🙂
