Saturday snippets 5 March 2016

{celebrating} Tigerboy being 4. He likes it 🙂 Odd feeling to know that the youngest is getting older and there will be no more – birthdays are milestones for more than just the child concerned I find.

{Also celebrating} Smallest and her second missing tooth, and her learner of the year trophy from swimclub. (The learner bit refers to the group she’s in, but it sounds really impressive and she’s very happy with herself. Took some fast talking to persuade her not to take it to bed with her!)

{and celebrating} Big’s latest mock results. Let’s just say she’s not tracking the curve her school predicted (and yes, I’m waving my told you so flag proudly). She is putting in a massive amount of effort, and it looks like it’s paying off.

{pondering} going on a training course with the RHS. It’s a teacher training day – wondering how they’d take to a home educator in their midst. Thoughts?

{failing} to sort out a new phone.

{reading} a whole book. Which was awesome. But I’m struggling to find the words to review. It will come.

{enjoying} my photography, and trying to remind myself that it isn’t about the numbers. Also trying to remind myself how far I’ve come in a year of practice and what that could to to my art.

{adapting} a kind of 5:2 paleo diet thing to manage some weight loss, particularly as I’m struggling to exercise with back pain.

{trying} not to tempt fate by going on too long with this post.

Snapshots

Mainly as above to be honest – Small is enjoying his iGCSE computer science sessions, Big is getting on with school work and balancing swim teaching, volunteering and a bunch of other stuff, Smallest keeps accidentally reading stuff and Tigerboy is 4.

I can’t believe 4 years have gone by since we were discussing what blog name he should have and whether smallest should become smaller, etc… Love it that big is doing so well – you wave that flag girl! And I laughed at accidenetly reading stuff. Sounds like a good week apart from your back pain. I wish you better. xx
