quiet week in blogland.

I think many of my friends have been a bit lost for words following the sad events that have befallen Merry and her family, losing their baby boy days after he was born. I know I haven’t had much to say 🙁 We’ve been rather subdued here in person as well – it hit Big much harder than I expected and we’ve had a couple of days of being close and cuddly, looking after each other. Wasn’t made any easier by Tim being away as well, which always leaves us a little fragile at the best of times.

We still had swimming on Tues, as lessons go on throughout the school holidays. We got the phonecall on Tues morning moving Big up to the orange hat group, which makes the full set. She’s back at 5 o’clock meaning I don’t get to watch her lesson, but I still caught up with several of the other mothers, and as there was no one to rush home to, we stopped and chatted while Big got ready.

Just as well the weather has improved and that the evenings are lighter as with Tim away we’d to walk home as well. Passed D and S having dinner in the restaurant on the main road, so popped in for a chat with S who arranged to come round on Weds for a proper talk.

Home for a meal of pasta and sauce with the children, and a quiet evening before a relatively early night.

  1. I don’t know Merry personally, but her blog and website has been a lifeline to a new HE family such as we are.
I’ve really felt for her loss, and thought about posting about it but felt I didn’t *know* Merry enough to do so (although I have left a comment on MuddlePuddle.) I’m glad you have Jax, and I’ve thought about the Puddles often over the past few days. Words fail me so I hope you can do a better job of passing on my condolences.
    .-= kellyi´s last blog ..a sneaky peek =-.

  2. oh no, I shouldn’t have read Merry’s post – I’m a mess!! Can you still blame baby hormones when he’s 9 months old?? It’s either that or I’m just a mess so I’m sticking to it.
Sending love, light and blessings to the Puddles 😥
