I’ve just rounded off the perfect day by breaking the mug that Big made for her daddy. 🙁

Started the day by discovering that one of the three hosting servers I use was having difficulties (hence the appearing and reappearing blogring) and spent most of the day working to minimise the problem. Joy. So all my good intentions to focus more on spending quality time with the children flew out of the window as I muttered things like “not right now” and “just a *minute*” Hm.

So they got on with it without me!

Big found a kit that’s been kicking around for ages, a music science kit and spent ages making a variety of instruments out of it. Following instructions, figuring things out, doing it all by herself. Well impressed. Small destroyed things, until I had a brainwave and got him some jigsaws out. By the time I’d sat down again, he’d finished the first four! So I got him a big box out and he spent ages on them. Impressed …..

(….at which point Small appeared, time for mummy to go to bed, apparently…night, night everyone.)

  1. 🙁 to the mug, but sounds like the kids had a good day even if yours was frustrating.
