Now we are two.

It’s been a fairly low key birthday today for Smallest. Big made and iced her a cake (yes, I’m impressed. First time she’d used fondant icing and she made a fabulous job of it.) Small got down on the floor and played pattern games with the Tantrix tiles with her until she made him cry by repeatedly walking on them, and we had a sit down birthday lunch.

I don’t think she understood what the candles were about and we couldn’t persuade her to blow them out, but we sang and gave her presents. Then we had a game of Old MacDonalds Lotto which conveniently arrived for review this morning, got organised and came out to swimming.

She’s also struggling with the birthday song, keeps singing happy birthday mummy. Can’t say as I mind that much.

  1. Happy Birthday Smallest. Does she know that her name is likely to change in a few months. Or not? You sort of backed yourself into a corner with ‘Smallest’ 🙂

    1. I did rather. You can tell this wasn’t in plan at that point 😉 I’m not entirely sure what I’m going to do, changing her name seems a bit off, but at the same time, it just won’t be right!
