Not for the squeamish

Big was rather copiously sick last night. Bless her, she tried to get to the bathroom, which meant that she redecorated her room, the landing and the bathroom as well. 🙁

And while I was clearing up, Small woke up screaming (he’d gone to bed before 8 – I didn’t know what to do with myself!) so dp had to cope with him while I finished the disinfecting.

Big seems fine this morning – came bouncing in as soon as Small grunted, which meant he woke up properly immediately instead of dozing for another half hour as he probably would if left to his own devices. Ah well. The sun is shining and I have quite a lot of washing, washing up, and carpet cleaning to be getting on with. Shall I turn my machine off and see how much I can achieve without it?

Should note that after Small went to sleep I mowed the lawn – now I know why they tell you to leave it a bit longer to save on water – it was soggy even after a full day of sun! But it needed cutting – the dock leaves were getting seriously out of hand. I then spend the evening trying to sign up for some paid survey work and so on online – sometime while sleepless in the night it occurred to me that being paid $3 for a survey that takes 15 minutes is not going to pay the bills and instead I’d better get my business organised. Amazing what epiphanies occur in the middle of the night, isn’t it?
