Norwich Camping

As I believe I mentioned earlier, on our way to our recent camping trip we stopped off at Norwich Camping to buy a couple of things. Amongst our purchases was a melamine crockery set and an Outwell Calabash Picnic Rucksack.

While we were away, one of the melamine mugs cracked, and once we got back, I discovered we could have bought the rucksack £10 cheaper elsewhere 🙁

So, on Thursday I dropped Norwich Camping an email, asking how to go about getting the mug replaced and mentioning their price promise, asking whether it applied after the fact.

I got an almost instant response:

Firstly if you can post the broken cup to us, we will send out a replacement, and if you would like to ring me wityh your card number I will refund the £10.00

To say I was impressed would be an understatement. I rang them with card details, and we got the receipt for the refund next day in the post. The mug is of course sitting on the table next to me waiting to be posted back, but it’s on my todo list for tomorrow. So the purpose of this post is to say that if you’re looking for a good camping shop, you really can’t go wrong visiting Norwich camping either in person or online 🙂

  1. Blimey!! Very impressive! WAY better than my experience with Argos lately…. an air bed with a faulty valve so it goes down in the night. Didn’t have a receipt but they assured me that if I had a bank statement, that would be fine. Rocked up with said bank statement but no… that’s NOT enough because they can’t find the exact model in their catalogue. I asked what the policy was for this sort of situation – i.e. faulty items and they basically said that there is nothing they can do because I can’t prove that I definitely bought it from them…. despite it being a brand that only they seem to sell. 😡
I left because I was getting nowhere with the manager.
Needless to say, I haven’t finished with them.
