Metrosexual

Discussing the above neologism, Jax and I concurred, neither of us knew what it meant. When she read this definition to me….

“Metrosexual was coined in 1994 (as was its noun, metrosexuality) by British journalist Mark Simpson, who used it to refer to an urban male of any sexual orientation who has a strong aesthetic sense and spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle. …”

…I immediately suggested a synonym. Jax shouted me down and said I was wrong (I am used to the shouting, but she should know by now that I am never wrong).

Just curious to know whether anyone else might like to suggest a synonym for metrosexual?

Actually, “metrosexual” was uttered recently in this house with regard to eyebrow waxing for males.
