I was feeling very tired this morning after a long day yesterday (which I do need to blog, because there were some really good bits 🙂 ) so I snatched an extra half hour in bed. Then I headed up the hill to the M1 junction, drove around the roundabout and back down the hill again. When they are queueing up the sliproad trying to get into three stationary lines of traffic, that’s when I stop wanting to play. Besides as I have vpn and an understanding boss, I could come home and start work straight away, rather than wasting a couple of hours fuming (in more ways that one 😉 )

So I’ve worked from upstairs today, unexpectedly, and it’s been rather pleasant to claw back a couple of extra hours of my life. It means that Big and I have done some more craft this evening; that I’ve been able to watch Small navigate his way around the cbeebies site; that I’ve had lunch with a friend. That it’s 6.15 and instead of just arriving home to join in with my family, I’ve been here for two hours. This is good.

Big has done some maths already today, and I’m about to whizz over to Merry’s new curriculum area to check what everyone’s reading in Week two. I’m aware that I’ve got a week one round up kicking around somewhere as a draft, I’ll post that later on tonight, but now I’m going to go get Week two underway.

  1. Hmph, you completely failed to mention the scrummy bread that you had for lunch! Not making you any again!

  2. This bread thing….next time I’ll bring over cabbage soup 🙂
