little big girl

Big has her first pair of jeans since she was a toddler. They are hand me downs from a friend of a friend, age 14 and sparkly and she loves them 🙂 She looks gorgeous, and disturbingly grown up.

Turns out that the grey top that goes ever so well with them is a size 8. And it fits very nicely thank you.

Where did this big girl come from? She put her arms out to hug me and they went around my shoulders without her having to stretch up. She looks me in the eye without really tilting her head and yet she still chews her fingernails 😉

I don’t know why jeans suddenly made her look so much more mature, but they did. Perhaps it’s because her usual jogging pants are kind of shapeless while jeans are more shaped. However it works I don’t know, and I’m not sure I like it. But it’s the way it goes, so I guess I’d better get used to it.
