Life isn't all about ticking boxes.

Something I need to remember. Just because I haven’t managed to do everything perfectly is no reason to stall or give up.

I got a pep talk today from Wendy at mutusystem. I’ve got myself into a state, looping round and round week one of the system and not moving on. But now I have a plan, my running is set to be revitalised, and I turned hanging the washing out into a mini circuit training session, complete with squats and stretches.

Hey, it’s exercise. It all counts. And I might not be wearing my beautiful dress this weekend, but I will wear it soon.

How have you been kind to yourself today?

  1. “Just because I haven’t managed to do everything perfectly is no reason to stall or give up.” Thank you, thank you, thank you, that was the thing I needed to hear which will make me stop stressing and do what I need to do, which is go to bed and get some sleep. And tomorrow I will just do what I can, imperfectly. I can’t do any more now, I am exhausted. It’s been quite a week, and we have violin lessons ridiculously early in the morning.

  2. Sorry, posted too soon… was going to say “How have you been kind to yourself today?” Well, I’m not sure I have, but I’m about to by getting off facebook and going to bed now:)

    1. Sounds like a good start. Glad to be of assistance.

  3. Sometimes my problem is being too kind to myself instead of getting anything done. I need to find the balance.

    1. Balance is always the most difficult bit I think.
