And boy don’t I know it!
very jangly stuff, isn’t it?
So Big is concentrating on her language studies today, although we did read another couple of stories in the red nose reader when we turned Dora off for lunch.
Small found his pack of pants, and was determined to wear them, over his nappy and pj trousers. Didn’t work very well. This is roughly how Big toilet trained, by wanting to wear knickers, so I was hopeful that this could be the start of something bigger. But Small hasn’t shown any signs of wanting to use a potty *or* the toilet and when I left him briefly in the bathroom without anything, he instantly decorated the floor. 🙁
I’d really rather leave it to the warmer weather anyway!
And in other news, I’ve done some more java, got a passing mark on the “difficult” questions test on javacertificate.com which was inordinately pleasing ;), finished another crochet square (that makes 14 in the pile, another 36 to go, I checked 🙁 ) and pottered. I’m trying to cut down on the cups of tea, as I think that the amount I’ve been drinking may have been contributing to my sleep difficulties (bad enough when you’re fighting for bed space, have a Small sleeping on your head in the middle of the night, but then to go to bed and can’t get to sleep even when no one is sleeping on you – unfair!) but I think going cold turkey may have been too much, as I’ve got a stinking headache now.
We’re going to be doing another family cooked dinner tonight, so I’ll be shutting down the machine so that we can use the table. See you all later.

I’ve had headaches all week, and I *never* get headaches! I few other ppl I know have unusual headaches too. Hmmm… maybe something in the air!
Well done on your java thingy :~). Hope your headache goes soon. And what kind of set-up is that, where you have to stop blogging to eat?! Honestly… ;~)
Both had headaches here too… blame the weather. Also, try decaf tea – Typhoo does the best IMHO. I tried every single one whilst pregnant with Piglet.
o, yuck. I just had some of that Typhoo decaf at (sil and bil)and honestly I think the effect is much worse than ordinary tea. Give me Roobosh any day, it doesnt have caffeine in the first place, so no nasty chemically treatment, and it’s good for you.
Actually I get a headache, too, if I dont have any tea at all. And I have been sleeping very badly lately – It occured to me that I probably don’t get enough of the right kind of exercise- mind you yesterday’s hike up Ilkley moor wasnt quite what I had in mind…A gentle stroll round the block is more my idea of exercise..
yes, potty training- better weather-yes- Fugs just about cracked it by himself the summer when he was 2 in September. I was just fondly reminiscing about the time when he weed on the floor in Pizza Express on his Grandma’s 80th birthday, so I can easily remember the date!
What is Dora?
Dora is a formulaic american children’s show on nick jr, which stars a little girl who speaks spanish as well as english, so there’s lots of nice language learning going on as well as counting to ten, learning colours, following maps and so on. Big loves it, I’m not such a fan.
O, and I thought it had something to do with que sera sera! 0 no, that’s Doris.
