It was going to happen

if you work with kids, you’re going to catch their bugs. I started mid week with a bit of a sore throat, somehow got through two days at school with next to no voice, and really hoped that a quiet weekend would see it all off.

No chance. I’m hacking away like a forty a day smoker – I’ve slept this afternoon after waking myself up far too early with a coughing fit, but I’m sitting sniffling and choking again now.

Not good. I’m taking trips out again tomorrow so I really need to be capable, am hoping some food, tv and an early night might improve me. Bleargh.

Kids have had a reasonable weekend except for Big constantly complaining that her tummy doesn’t feel right. She can’t give us any more information than that, but today she barely ate when we went out to a party so I’m guessing she’s not 100%. The party was Alice in Wonderland, hence when I did get up early this morning I was occupied sewing hearts onto a dress for her and finishing off a waistcoat for him to go with the white rabbit outfit we borrowed from his cousin. Can’t believe I didn’t get a picture of them 🙁 am hoping that someone else has.

And that’s my weekend. Going to get them out of the bath and send them to bed and go find some food. Really wish I could stop coughing – at this rate I’m going to have to find us a doctors, though how you are supposed to do all this stuff related to moving when you’ve a full time job I really don’t know.
