Is trying enough?

Almost a bag full of rubbish. Half a box emptied. A book read, but not finished.

I’ve attempted a few things today but completed none of them. I did manage an unexpected bike ride when Small forgot his trunks, and Big called from the leisure centre. I don’t have DVLA permission to drive but the GP relaxed all other restrictions so I borrowed Big’s bike and cycled down.

I’ll pay for that tomorrow I expect. But he only missed a quarter of his lesson, would have been nearly half if I’d walked. So worth it. And I would like a bike of my own, and to get the other children bike riding. (Big does her paper round on the bike. Extra exercise, as if she needed it.)

I didn’t get any further with my list. I added a couple more items, but didn’t cross any off. Today’s crane turned into a creased lump (too small a piece of paper I think) and I’ve not written any other articles or reviews.

But it feels like I made a difference. A concerted start, found some effort, dredged up some self belief. And it feels like it was enough for today.

  1. I am glad you had a good Saturday. I find that if I don’t complete something it makes me feel worse. It adds to my list ‘not done’ and weighs me down.
