A twitter friend, Marc, aka The Business GP is someone who understands the value of charity – proceeds from his book on Renaissance Management are funnelled through to his charity Camp Quality UK. I think it was when he tweeted about that that I mentioned the 100 book challenge, and after a quick batch of tweets, he popped his pocket book Innervention in the post to be included in my reviews.
It’s rather different to other things I’ve been reading. It’s a very quick read – it really would fit in most coat pockets, and I think I’m not the target audience really. But I found it quite thought provoking as I remembered various experiences in management, and I can see that a lot of what Marc is saying is stuff ppl at senior levels need to hear if they want to be successful. None of it is earth shattering, but gathered together in one place, it’s useful stuff. So if I have any senior executives reading, I’d recommend taking a look, or alternatively, if you know any senior executives and you are looking for a suitable present, you might want to take a look at Marc’s site.
The boring small print…If you don’t want to miss out on any of the news on the challenge, please sign up to my rss feed – there’s an email link over in the side, or you can sub with a reader. I’m also on twitter using the hashtag #100books and facebook.
If you want to donate, please feel free, there’s a link in the sidebar or you can use this one. If you’d like to join in with your own version of the challenge, please leave me a comment to let me know so that I can link to you. And also, the booklink above is an affiliate link, but it’s set up with its own tracking id, so anything bought via a 100 book challenge link is separate to those usually on my blog, and I’ll be donating that money through to Oxfam as well.
