In the style of Gill

The cat’s been sick in the dining room

I saw a flea last night

My browser upgraded and broke itself

nothing is going right.

I went on holiday with friends last week

but still feel I’m out of touch

five year old has a teenage attitude

I seem to be doing too much

first load of washing is almost done

the pile is barely diminished

there’s washing up sat in the sink overnight

day’s work is never quite finished

Tax credits want all their money back

didn’t fill in the form in time

Got a stinking cold and a headache

feel like being ill is a crime

got to run out to buy a present

for the party we’re off to today

got to take it one step at a time atm

feels like the only way.

  3. Oh wow, your rhyming is doing well despite the cold & headache! Hope your day’s got better. It was lovely to see you last week and wish we’d been there longer to chat more.

  4. Poem was good, even if the day wasn’t.
They want tax money back from me too, despite having had a letter from them since saying that we don’t owe £600 but in fact owe £80 back.
    Yah boo sucks to them.
