How would you describe your personality?

Um, I usually don’t bother?

What kind of question is that for a job app???

urgh…

In a spirit of solidarity with Joyce, I’m currently trying to fill out a screening document, and resisting the urge to answer questions like: “Reason for seeking employment: ” with answers like “because I need the money….”

  1. Just say if you want to see any of the masses of stuff I’ve produced for mine – might be some useful phrases for cribbing. Though as I said yesterday, I was running out of new ways to say initiatied, implemented, developed, creative etc 🙁 Feeling rather light hearted today although its not finished yet – the next step is a 30 minute presentation for the actual interview.

  2. And ps – I’m not sure that “cos I don’t want any of the other candidates to be my boss is really a good enough reason either 🙁

  3. Well, I’ve sent this one in now, but anything you feel like sharing for future epics (can’t imagine I’m going to get any further with this one given my state of mind while filling it in today!) would be very welcome.
Why don’t you wander on over to fp and join me in ranting? 😉

  4. Yeah, Joyce, why do you never come there?

  5. Where are you ranting? I popped in, but didn’t see you….

  6. I’m trying to manage my addicition, Alison 😉 TBH, I find it easier to avoid boards that email lists, as I just find them hard to follow threads on them. I do visit a bit, but don’t post that often.

  7. What’s fp?

I used to have to fill in the same crap form every 3 montsh for 7 years. the first box was all about my attitudes and personal attributes ‘ i am hardworking, efficient, pleasant, good communicator, teamplayer….. ‘ sick and vomit. Really meant to say, I am permanently hacked off with working on average 10 free hours per week for the NHS, dumped on for great heights, always the fall guy, no help, no sleep, crap on call rooms so therefore grumpy, uncommunicative, snappy, judgemental and wish POETS day was possible. Obviously never did write that though.
