  1. Since you mention pdfs. I really need a pdf generator, but acrobat is so expensive, I’ve always discounted it. But when I googled it, there are a few at less than 40 quid. Are they any use, do you know?

  2. Yes. Jaws. It works as a virtual printer, you create your document in whatever you like and print is as a PDF. I have a licensed PCPlus cover disc copy, which works fine.
    It is not a replacement for real Acrobat software, but it is fine for my needs.
    Also, there are free writers, I tried one PDF995, but it was not a patch on Jaws, there are also PDFill and PDFMoto, which are free but which I have not tried.

  3. I use the free version of CutePDF. works fine for the limited useage I have so never bothered to look for anything else, or pay for a version.
