grinchy boy

which is so unlike him!

don’t really know what to do while he is like this – even resorted to parking him in front of the washing machine for a bit! lol Turned out it was all because of a pressing engagement with a nappy…so he’s just had a bath. Thank goodness for hot water on demand….my first house of my own was a housing association sheltered housing bungalow in a northern mining village, with a back boiler over a coal fire, and so I *still* don’t take central heating for granted. Must have been so difficult to raise a family in that kind of house, and I am so grateful I don’t have to do it!

While I was going to get him bathed, the heavens opened and we had a thunderstorm with large hailstones. Eek, as the gazebo is still up, but it seems to have survived….hope the same can be said of the potatoes.

Thinking about popping to the localish shopping centre to see if they do anything in the way of waterproof clothing for the sprogs for Hesfes – suppose I ought to consider some for myself as well. Can’t decided whether I’m more worried that it’s going to be hot or cold – I suppose we could end up with the worst of both if the last couple of days have been anything to go by!

Right, got to go peel my face now…in my wisdom while in the bathroom I decided to apply a peel off face masque I’ve had kicking around for ages….this is going to hurt isn’t it?
